Voca-Highlighter (VH) is a free Chrome add-on developed by happyEduMaker. This useful tool is designed to enhance your vocabulary acquisition by visualizing your knowledge status. With VH, you can mark and rate words you don't know based on difficulty, allowing you to track your progress and improve your vocabulary skills.
One of the main features of Voca-Highlighter is its integration with dictionary extensions, such as Google Dictionary. This enables you to easily look up the meaning of words and save them directly in VH for future reference. If you come across a word you want to acquire, simply select it and save it in VH. If you struggle to remember a word, you can save it again to reinforce your learning.
VH uses a color-coded system to represent your familiarity with each word. The more times you save a word, the darker its color becomes, indicating your progress. There are five colored levels, allowing you to easily visualize and track your vocabulary knowledge.
